The Georgia
Center for the Book recently announced the 2012 Townsend Prize for fiction
nominees. Named for Jim Townsend, founding editor of Atlanta magazine, the Townsend Prize is awarded biennially to the
Georgia writer judged to have produced the best work of fiction or short
stories in the previous two years. It will be presented April 26 at the Atlanta
Botanical Gardens.
